Her work transforms her struggles with intrusive thoughts and compulsions into surreal and unsettling forms. The work is inspired by the late Vivienne Westwood’s rebellious work, timeless vintage fashion, and the melancholic beauty of Southern Gothic aesthetics. Using unconventional and found objects, like doll parts and broken jewelry, she shows truths that can not be said out loud, relating to the discarded trinkets.
She is a co-founder of The Grate Society, a student-led group of artists passionate in organizing and promoting their own shows to exhibit their individual artworks. Her work has been featured in multiple local galleries across Richmond, Lexington, and Louisville. She has also been published both online and in print in issues 1-3 of Beloved, a magazine centering the relationships and dynamics of the femmebutch lesbian community.
